CEMA attended GACE conference and organized a dialogue session with AEM

GACE (Global Alliance of Construction Equipment) held an international meeting on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at CEMA’s office.

AEM (Association of Equipment Manufacturers) from the United States and CEMA participated in person, while other member associations joined online.During the meeting, participants exchanged views on U.S. tariff issues, shared updates on the Cape Town Convention and the MAC Protocol, and discussed the framework of a new international joint declaration for the construction machinery industry. CEMA also presented recent developments from Japan.

CEMA introduced the establishment of “Construction Equipment Day” and related promotional events aimed at raising industry awareness and engaging younger generations. This initiative received positive feedback from participating countries.

The next GACE meeting is scheduled to take place during CONEXPO in March next year.

CEMA also held bilateral discussions with AEM’s Senior Vice President, Mr. Ideberg, who was visiting Japan, to further exchange views on U.S. tariff issues and the Cape Town Convention and the MAC Protocol.

CEMA remains committed to working in close collaboration with domestic and international organizations to advance the development of the construction machinery industry.
