CEMA submitted the written request for the Realization of Carbon Neutrality (Year 2026 Edition) to the Japanese Government

CEMA announces the details of the Requests for Realization of Carbon Neutrality in Construction Equipment (Year 2026 Edition), the sixth such compilation since 2021.

This time, in light of policy developments, this year's request document has been substantially streamlined based on the following three perspectives, focusing exclusively on matters truly essential to achieving carbon neutrality (CN):

①Excluding items that have already been realized or for which a clear direction has been set.
②Excluding items that contribute only indirectly, rather than directly, to the realization of CN.
③Limiting inclusion to items of the highest priority.

On August 5, CEMA submitted and explained this request to the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT), urging the realization of its contents.
